Former President Donald Trump is already claiming "cheating" is taking place in Philadelphia with the voting process, in an angry post to Truth Social.
"A lot of talk about massive CHEATING in Philadelphia," wrote Trump. "Law Enforcement coming!!!"
The former president did not clarify what he was talking about, or provide any evidence to support the notion of "cheating" in Philadelphia. Moreover, CNN's Daniel Dale confirmed that the Philadelphia Police Department is "not aware what Trump was referring to and did not know of any issues with voting that required a law enforcement response."
However, this comes amid widespread reports of massive turnout in Philadelphia, one of Pennsylvania's largest reservoirs of Democratic voters.
Pennsylvania is one of the most intensely-watched of the battleground states, and the most populous state in the so-called "blue wall" considered to be a must-win for Vice President Kamala Harris to have a shot of winning the election.
The former president is infamous for questioning the results of elections. In 2020, he declared victory before ballots were even finished counting, filed a series of ill-fated lawsuits to stop or overturn various results around the country, and incited protests and ultimately a riot at the Capitol after the final results showed him losing most battleground states.
