Trump defends anti-Semitic picture and accuses CNN of 'racial profiling' in weird rant

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump encouraged his supporters on Wednesday to boycott CNN while also accusing the network of acting in bad faith regarding the anti-Semitic picture shared by his campaign.

"It's a star. Have you all seen this? It's a star," Trump said in footage posted by Media Matters. "And it actually looks like a sheriff's star, but I don't know. And behind it, they had money. Oh, but there's money behind it. So actually, they're racially profiling. They're profiling, not us. Because why are they bringing this up? Why do they bring it up?"

Trump did not mention that the image -- showing Hillary Clinton besides a Star of David and a pile of money -- was traced back to a white-supremacist website in spite of his supporters' arguments to the contrary, leading to another round of criticism for his campaign's rhetoric.

During his speech, the presumptive GOP nominee also began listing Jewish people he knew, and accused CNN of being "sick."

"They're the ones with the bad tendencies when they can think that way," he said, adding, "These are sick people. They're bad people. And what you do is you don't watch CNN anymore. I like Anderson Cooper, I like a couple of the people, but mostly it's just negative."
