'Dementia-land': Lawmaker says Trump is 'not suited for office' after 'bonkers' claim

Donald Trump is "not suited for office" after spreading a conspiracy theory about Vice President Kamala Harris faking her crowd sizes, according to Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA).

Lieu appeared on MSNBC on Sunday to talk about the Harris campaign and how it is shaping up against Trump. The host asked him if reliably red territories are really going to be competitive for Harris in November.

"Does the campaign really believe that those states can really actually be won?" she asked.

Lieu responded by saying that, "We do see a changing electoral map."

"Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are amazing candidates, amazing people, I've had the honor of working with both of them. And that is shifting what the map looks like because American people see the stark contrast between Kamala Harris and Tim Walz who want to protect reproductive freedom and make sure that we are defending democracy, compared to the former president of the United States, Donald Trump, who is really going bonkers off the edge into dementia land," he said. "He's now fantasizing that all these rallies are not real and that somehow, Air Force Two is not real and that the rally she had in Michigan was not real."

He continued:

"I think the American people realize that Donald Trump is not suited for office in any way whatsoever."

Lieu was referring to Trump's latest conspiracy theory posted to social media, in which the former president claims Harris uses AI to fake her crowds.
