Trump to entice Kim Jong-un with September invite to New York after Singapore summit falls flat: report

President Donald Trump may invite North Korea dictator Kim Jong-un to New York following this year's summit in Singapore that has produced little results toward denuclearization.

According to Axios, Trump is considering hosting Kim in September.

"Officials tell us that Kim would have to show progress for the meeting to occur," the report said. "One possibility would be for Trump to hold out a Round 2 meeting as a carrot to encourage real movement by North Korea over the summer."

NBC News reported late last month that North Korea has actually increased production of nuclear material at its secret sites.
