An attorney for Jeffrey Epstein accusers reacted Monday to the bawdy doodle reportedly from President Donald Trump to the late disgraced financier on his birthday, calling it "creepy."
Arick Fudali, an attorney representing 11 Epstein accusers, told CNN that calls for the Department of Justice and lawmakers to release the Epstein files have heightened as the House Oversight Committee received documents Monday from Epstein's estate, releasing the drawing in question.
Trump has repeatedly denied sending the birthday card and having a close friendship with Epstein.
"Actually, this is proof," Fudali said.
The drawing is a hand-drawn woman's body and mentions "secrets" throughout the bizarre letter, bearing a signature saying "Donald."
"Well, it's certainly a creepy and very oddly worded message or birthday note, whatever you want to call it, referring to something as wonderful secrets," Fudali said. "It also looks like it's almost like a fan fiction conversation between whoever wrote this and Jeffrey Epstein. It's very strange. And I anticipate President Trump is going to continue to deny that it's him."
The image is fueling further proof that Epstein and Trump were associates, he added.
“We keep hearing about meetings," Fudali said. "Something that has been jarringly missing from these meetings is a representative of these survivors of Jeffrey Epstein."
Survivors are calling for action and for the files to be released following a strong and “empowering” press conference last week in Washington, D.C. when survivors joined together in solidarity to call on the government to hold abusers accountable. Some of the women who spoke out were speaking publicly about the abuse for the first time, he said.
They are now, however, also facing challenges with the government’s slow response to release the files and give them “the closure they deserve," Fudali said.
No one from the government or law enforcement has reached out to Fudali or the survivors to discuss the Epstein files. He called out Jim Acosta for trying to silence survivors and the "sweetheart deal" to move Ghislaine Maxwell, who was found guilty of child trafficking, from a high-security facility to a minimum-security prison in Texas.
Reports indicate that Epstein abused up to three women a day for decades, he added. There could be other high-profile individuals who also participated in this abuse.
