Trump forced to answer questions under oath in Summer Zervos defamation case

President Donald Trump must answer questions under oath in a defamation lawsuit brought by former “Apprentice” contestant Summer Zervos, reports the Washington Post.

According to the report, attorneys for Trump and Zervos reached an agreement on Friday that would compel the president to exchange “written answers and objections” to formal written questions by Sept. 28.

The lawsuit was filed in New York where the law states that the answers must be sworn to or verified, leading Trump to risk perjury charges should he answer falsely.

Zervos sued Trump for defamation in early 2017 after he called her a liar when she claimed he groped her ten years earlier.
