Trump furiously denies 'chaos' in White House with Twitter attack on 'Amazon Washington Post'

President Donald Trump denied there was "chaos" in his White House on Saturday, as he set the record for presiding over the longest government shutdown in American history.

Earlier on Saturday, Trump lashed out at The New York Times and former President Barack Obama.

"I just watched a fake reporter from the Amazon Washington Post say the White House is 'chaotic, there does not seem to be a strategy for this Shutdown. There is no plan.'"

"The fakes always like talking chaos, there is none," Trump claimed. "In fact, there’s almost nobody in the W.H. but me, and I do have a plan on the shutdown."

"But to understand that plan you would have to understand the fact that I won the election, and I promised safety and security for the American people," Trump argued, despite having lost the popular vote.

"Part of that promise was a wall at the southern border," Trump said, without mentioning that his campaign promise was that Mexico would pay for his wall.

"Elections have consequences," added the man whose party under his leadership lost control of the House of Representatives in the November midterm elections.
