As is his custom on Saturday mornings, President Donald Trump used Twitter to lash at out at those he perceives to be his enemies. This week he attacked a United States District Court judge who issued a nationwide restraining order Friday evening, allowing travel by citizens from Muslim-majority countries into the U.S.
Federal Judge James Robart, appointed by former President George W. Bush, issued the order immediately forcing U.S. Customs and Immigration officials to halt the ban -- which in turn angered Trump.
Saturday morning Trump tweeted: "The opinion of this so-called judge, which essentially takes law-enforcement away from our country, is ridiculous and will be overturned!"
In previous tweets, Trump defended his actions which civil liberties groups have called unconstitutional.
"When a country is no longer able to say who can, and who cannot , come in & out, especially for reasons of safety &. security - big trouble!" he wrote, adding, "Interesting that certain Middle-Eastern countries agree with the ban. They know if certain people are allowed in it's death & destruction!"
Trump also continued his war on the New York Times, without noting what set him off this time, writing: " After being forced to apologize for its bad and inaccurate coverage of me after winning the election, the FAKE NEWS @nytimes is still lost!"
The tweeting-president, who is vacationing at his Mar-a-lago Resort in Florida this weekend, punctuated his tweet-storm by with an all-caps: "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
