Trump is handing out security clearances like Oprah hands out cars: Ex-Obama staffer

A White House whistler bowler revealed that Trump's administration handed out more than a dozen security clearances after being advised not to by his top aides.

On Monday, during MSNBC's Chris Hayes show, pundits pointed out that Trump's hands out security clearances as if he is Oprah.

"This administration is basically handing out security clearances like Oprah on her show, you get one, you get one," pundit Jason Johnson said. "That is a danger to all of us. When we hear about these stories of is Jared selling information? Is China getting special deals? Are all these countries cutting deals -- is it coming from inside information? This is why we have these concerns because security clearances are given to people who we don't know and who are probably not qualified to get them."

He then went on to explain that depth of Trump's lies.

"There are no articles of good faith with this administration. They lied about babies in cages and we had videos of it. There is nothing that can be believed in this administration," he said.

He explained why elections matter, noting that the whistle blower had no one to turn to for two years.

"She had no one that she could complain to. Now that Democrats run the oversight committee, there is at least someone to investigate this issue," Johnson said.
