Trump holding government hostage until ‘he gets what he wants': report

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump threw a "temper-tantrum" during a meeting with Democrat leaders about the border wall,  according to Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

Trump called the meeting a "waste of time" and refused to reopen the government that has been shut down for three weeks.

Washington Post reporter Felicia Sonmez tweeted that there is more to Trump's fight than just his border wall.

According to a source, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer asked Trump why he would not open the government since it is hurting millions of Americans.

Trump's response allegedly was, " Because then you won't give me what I want."
