President Donald Trump's social media post on Easter morning incensed MS NOW hosts Catherine Rampell, Antonia Hylton, and Elise Jordan on Sunday.
Early in the morning, Trump posted a threat to the Iranian regime on his Truth Social page.
"Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran," the message reads in part. "There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F----- Strait, you crazy b--------, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah."
Rampell, Hylton, and Jordan reacted to Trump's message on MS NOW's "The Weekend: Primetime."
"I know I'mnot supposed to get upset aboutthe lack of decorum and thetrashiness and just the utterclasslessness of Donald Trump, but then he does something likethis on Easter morning, and itreally just throws me in a loopagain," Jordan said. She added that his comments were both "unholy and unhinged."
"It is just infuriating!" she added.
Rampell said the post was poorly timed, given that Trump had just recently announced the successful rescue of an American F-15 crew member who was shot down and injured deep in the Iranian mountains.
"Thisshould be a moment of relief,of celebration," Rampell said. "It's a win, and Donald Trump can't even takethe win here."
Hylton said the post was "beneath the office" that Trump occupies.
"There's also just the fact that it masks ... the president of the United States repeatedly posting on social media a premeditated plan to commit war crimes," she said.
