Donald Trump says he may travel to Israel now that President Joe Biden has returned from his historic wartime visit.
The former president told reporters outside his New York civil fraud trial Thursday that he was considering a visit himself, and repeated his claim that neither Israel nor Ukraine would have been attacked if he was president, reported The Independent.
"You take a look at what’s going on throughout the world," Trump said. "The world right now is a mess, it’s a mess, and it’s a very sad day.”
"I may," Trump added, when asked by a reporter whether he would visit Israel. "I may go, I may go."
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
It's not clear what security measures would be taken to assure the former president's safety in the war-torn region as it wouldn't be an official visit. It's unclear who would provide those services or how they would be funded.
The White House declined to give specifics about Biden security operation during his trip to Israel, but it was a joint operation by the White House staffers, the Secret Service, the Diplomatic Security Services, the U.S. Embassy and Israel's security agency Shin Bet.
