'Thou shalt always TACO': Trump ridiculed as he succumbs to 'blasphemy' rage

After facing a wave of backlash from critics and supporters alike, President Donald Trump appeared to have deleted a social media post that featured an image depicting him as a Jesus Christ-like figure — prompting ridicule from onlookers.

“Thou shalt always TACO… Trump 3:16,” quipped Tommy Christopher, writer and editor for Mediaite and former White House reporter, in a social media post on X to his more than 25,000 followers.

On Sunday night, an image was shared on Trump’s social media platform Truth Social that depicted the president wearing an outfit commonly associated with Christ while healing a sick man using his hand, which was depicted as being bathed in light.

Appearing to have been created using generative artificial intelligence, the image was first shared by Trump loyalist-turned Trump official Nick Adams back in February. The version posted by Trump’s Truth Social account also featured a seemingly “demonic” alteration that was quickly spotted by observers.

Later on Monday morning, however, Trump – or his staffers – appeared to have deleted the social media post, prompting some to take further digs at the president, including California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

“Now delete your presidency,” Newsom wrote in a social media post on X to his nearly 3 million followers.

“Too late, Piggy,” wrote another, liberal commentator Joanne Carducci, to her more than 1 million followers on X.
