Trump administration insiders are turning on Attorney General Pam Bondi in a big way, according to a reporter.
Jake Lahut of Wired appeared on MSNBC on Saturday, and was asked about a recent Truth Social post from Trump to his attorney general, Pam Bondi.
After noting that Trump's newly installed prosecutor went "rogue" in charging Trump's enemies without notifying Bondi, Lahut pushed his own reporting, including an internal poll among Trump officials.
"Now, I never wantto speculate into acompetitor's sourcing, but whatit does make you wonder iswhoever leaked this, were theyokay with the implication thateither Pam Bondi isn't on topof this, or that Halligan mightlook like she's jumping rank, and there's really no downsideto doing that internally," he said. "WhatI can tell you from myreporting is that Pam Bondi isvery much on the ropesinternally. I did this informalpoll in one of my most recentstories for the newsletter, where I asked trump officialsto rank one through five. Whothe cabinet members in theworst standing were. And one of these guys put Bondi onethrough four. Really just likelumped in everyone else at theend. So the knives aredefinitely starting to come outfor her."
