Trump lawyer Michael Cohen is being investigated for bank fraud and campaign finance violations: report

Donald Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen “is being investigated for possible bank fraud, campaign finance violations,” the Washington Post reports.

The development, sourced to a person familiar with the case, comes after Cohen’s Manhattan office and residence were raided Monday by the FBI. Agents reportedly seized records related to a $130,000 payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels as well as privilege communications between Cohen and Trump.

Stephen Ryan, an attorney for Cohen, told the Post the FBI raid was referred to federal prosecutors by special counsel Robert Mueller.
