Eric Trump: My father makes millions 'every time he walks into a courtroom'

As the date for jury selection in Donald Trump's New York hush money trial fast approaches, the former president's son, Eric Trump, appeared on Fox News Wednesday and was asked about the upcoming trial by Fox host Brian Kilmeade, who pointed out that his father is mandated to be in the courtroom each day of the trial -- a factor that could cripple his campaigning.
"For six to eight weeks, he could be stuck in a New York courtroom," Kilmeade told Trump. "That's Monday through Thursday, eight to 10 hours a day. How do you overcome that? What's the plan to overcome it? It's not gonna be a surprise."
Trump responded that, "Every single time he walks into a courtroom, millions and millions of dollars flow in because the American people know exactly what's happening to him."

Trump then ripped into Judge Juan Merchan, who is overseeing the case, pointing to news stories that the judge's daughter has two major Democratic clients who raised at least $93 million in campaign donations and have used the case in solicitation emails.
"And you have a judge who has a family member who literally profits off of these cases," Trump said. "She was making millions and millions off of these cases ... whose Twitter profile is literally my father behind bars, and that's what New York has become."
As The New York Post points out, Loren Merchan is president of Authentic Campaigns, a progressive political consulting firm whose top clients include Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and the Senate Majority PAC, which is a major Democratic fundraiser.
After demanding that Judge Merchan recuse himself from the case over the alleged conflict from his daughter — a request his father unsuccessfully made in court — Trump said that the legal system in New York "has become the laughing stock of this country."
