'Be worried about me': Michael Cohen warns Trump to fear his hush money trial testimony

Former President Donald Trump should be worried about the evidence stacked up against him, said his former attorney and fixer Michael Cohen on MSNBC Monday — including the evidence Cohen himself plans to bring to bear.

Trump is facing down the first of his four criminal trials next month: the hush money case brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. And Cohen, who has been described as a key witness in the case, told anchor Jen Psaki that case is strong.

"What should Trump fear most about April 15th?" asked Psaki, who previously served as White House press secretary in the Biden administration. "I mean, this trial date is set. What should he worry about?"

Cohen was ready with an immediate answer: "He should be worried about me."

Trump's former fixer did not hold back on the list of trial elements he believes Trump should fear.

"He should be worried about the Manhattan District Attorney, the District Attorney of New York prosecutors," said Cohen. "He should worry about the documentary evidence, he should be worried about all of the witnesses that will be coming into the trial, simply because as others have also appropriately put it, this is a very simple case."

In recent months, the former president has done everything in his power to try to discredit Cohen, who went to prison for bank and tax offenses over the hush payment scheme several years prior.

Trump, who pleaded not guilty to charges levied by Bragg, has painted Cohen as a liar who cannot be trusted, and has even attempted, unsuccessfully, to implicate him in the Trump Organization civil fraud case.

"This is a case based upon documentary evidence and corroborating testimony," Cohen concluded. "You know, these documents don't lie, and they paint a very specific picture, one which of course does not bend to the benefit of Donald Trump."
