Reacting to answers Donald Trump gave during a "softball" town hall on Fox News on Wednesday night, the entire "Morning Joe' staff was stunned by what co-host Joe Scarborough called an "incredible political mistake" made by the former president.
After showing a clip of Trump bragging about his part in overturning Roe v. Wade — a political minefield for GOP lawmakers — the hosts said the former president didn't do his third campaign for president any favors.
"He bragged about 'terminating' Roe v. Wade. He said, 'If it weren't for me, that 10-year-old girl in Ohio that an illegal immigrant raped, if it weren't for me, she wouldn't have had to flee the state. If it weren't for me, women wouldn't be, like, dying outside of emergency rooms because doctors are afraid to conduct women's health care,'" Scarborough explained. "He admitted — again, it was such an easy forum, it's not like he was backed into the corner — he admitted he was the one who terminated Roe v. Wade. What did the Biden people do last night? They're just hanging out. They were probably laughing at all the Republican chaos in the debate."

"He's grown so old and hobbled intellectually, I guess," he added. "He thinks he is running against Barack Obama, he's worried about World War II starting."
"Even in the most gentle of circumstances, he made an incredible political mistake, and he knows it this morning— he knows it," he elaborated. "Incredible political mistake last night. 'I was the one who terminated Roe v. Wade. I was the one, just me, nobody else could have stripped away 50 years of women's rights the way I, Donald Trump, did."'
Shaking his head he added, "The old man did it again."
