A video is grossing people out as it shows a golf club owned by President Donald Trump dumping live fish into a pool with children.
On Thursday, a video circulated on social media of Trump's golf club in Virginia putting small fish in a chlorinated pool full of children, according to PatriotTakes, a political X account. The video shows the children in the ankle-deep kiddie pool excitedly scooping up the fish while the adults alongside them do the same.
However, online onlookers were disgusted and horrified as they pointed out that the fish likely wouldn't survive with the chlorine, meaning the children were splashing around in a pool of dead fish.
"This is gross and cruel," reacted sports and politics columnist Janice Hough in a post on X. "All those fish will die in pain."
"It's outrageous," agreed progressive political commentator Lucas Sanders.
"What?!" reacted Democratic strategist Adam Parkhomenko.
"No...what the f—?" wondered disinformation expert and Kash Patel foe Jim Stewartson. "Everything has to be weird and sadistic with these people."
"I'm telling you, these people are aliens," warned Ben Meiselas, the co-founder of the MeidasTouch political news network.
"Fish loves chlorine," joked progressive news personality Alex Cole.
"I've seen this with plastic rubber ducks - no fish get harmed," wrote Decoding Fox News, a political account run by journalist and podcaster Juliet Jeske. "The kids get to keep the rubber duckie and everyone has a great time. There's no reason to do this with live fish."
"You have to be a sick f— to dump fish into a chemically treated pool for entertainment," blasted writer and content creator Amy Lynn Phillips Thatcher.
Trump's golf clubs have notably been hit with health code violations since Trump's second term began. Health inspectors found 18 health code violations in the kitchen of his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, while the Westchester, New York, club was infested with insects and rodents.
