All an MS NOW host could say was “wow,” after watching a supercut of Donald Trump droning on before an almost silent Georgia crowd at a rally this weekend compared to former President Barack Obama firing up loud and excited crowds in Michigan and Ohio.
In the supercut, shown on "Morning Joe," the current president talked about his reflecting pool renovations (”it's the longest swimming pool in history”) and juxtaposed it with Obama exclaiming, “After two years of chaos and cruelty and corruption and incompetence, the likes of which we have not seen in modern times. You get a chance to say enough's enough!” as the crowd roared.
Following the 2 1/2-minute clip, where Trump’s crowds looked distracted and bored, and Obama could barely be heard over the crowd’s cheering, MS NOW co-host Mike Brzezinski blurted, “Wow,” as co-host Joe Scarborough dryly added, “Tale of two campaigns.”
“You had to feel bad for the people standing behind Donald Trump,” Scarborough added, which led contributor Pablo Torre to point at one Trump follower in the clip and joke, “Kid bottom left, the bottom left’s like he was mentally playing tic-tac-toe," which drew laughter from the entire panel.
“What was that?” Scarborough replied, referring to Trump’s muted rally.
