CNN is reporting that Paul Ingrassia, who is serving as the Trump administration's liaison to the Department of Homeland Security, promoted social media posts calling for a "martial law option" to keep President Donald Trump in power after he lost the 2020 election.
In social media posts and podcast appearances reviewed by CNN, Ingrassia pushed for "secession" if the Supreme Court did not overturn the results of the 2020 election, and also called on Trump to declare martial law to remain in power.
Ingrassia even went so far as to call fellow MAGA influencer Sebastian Gorka "soft" for criticizing calls for then-Vice President Mike Pence to be arrested if he refused to go along with Trump's push to block certification of the 2020 election in Congress.
Ingrassia reserved special venom for Pence, whom he regarded as a "Judas" figure who belonged in the "ninth circle of hell."

In other posts on his podcast's blog, he called for Trump to institute martial law in four swing states so that they could do a "revote" of the election. He also suggested an unconstitutional option to delay the day of the presidential inauguration.
The CNN report also details what Ingrassia has been up to since Trump reassumed power last month.
"Since assuming the White House role, Ingrassia was present for the release of prisoners convicted of crimes for the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol and, according to The New York Times, had an office near Attorney General Pam Bondi while he was briefly at the Justice Department," the report explains.
