Donald Trump has reportedly cancelled a planned political rally in North Carolina due to thunderstorms in the area.
Trump Saturday evening posted that he is "heading to Wilmington NOW" on the way to his rally, planned just days before the true beginning of his first criminal trial.
"I LOVE NORTH CAROLINA," he wrote. "See you soon!!! DJT."

But that didn't last long, according to Michael Gold, a politics correspondent at the New York Times.
"Trump just called into his North Carolina rally to cancel as thunderstorms appear to be moving through the area," Gold wrote on Saturday. "He promises a rain check."
Gold also included a photo of a sign at the event. The sign reads, "event delayed."
"Due to severe weather, this event is delayed," the sign says. "Please proceed to shelter until the event resumes."
