Hosts of The Charlie Kirk Show condemned President Donald Trump's attack on Truth Social following the murder of liberal Hollywood director Rob Reiner.
"With Charlie's death, gruesome, I instantly saw the parallels," co-host Andrew Kolvet said on Monday. "And yeah, my heart goes out to their family. The guy had incredible depth. Yeah, he gave into TDS and Trump derangement."
"It's terrible politics," co-host Blake Neff agreed. "It's a free country. And he was allowed to believe what he wanted. That doesn't mean it's okay for him to get stabbed to death by his son. And it's disgusting if anyone is celebrating this."
"And, you know, we should acknowledge it was an elephant in the room," he continued. "President Trump, unfortunately, posted on Truth Social this morning. He said... 'A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michelle, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind-crippling disease known as Trump Derangement Syndrome.'"
"And he goes on for a bit longer. I'll be frank. I think the president should delete that."
Kolvet noted that Reiner has responded to Kirk's death by saying it "should never happen to anybody."
"I don't care what your political beliefs are," Reiner said at the time. "That's not acceptable."
"That is the only correct response ... whenever anyone dies," Kolvet insisted.
