Actor Zachary Levi revealed his thought process before arriving at the decision last year to risk his Hollywood career and go full-throttle support for Donald Trump – a choice he said he “felt peace” with.
Levi, who had the lead role in the acclaimed superhero film "Shazam!" and was the voice of Flynn Rider in Disney's "Tangled," made the comments Thursday in an interview on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” according to Variety.
“I felt peace because I knew that this was more important than saving my career,” Levi told the former Fox News host. “What am I really afraid of at the end of the day? That I’m somehow going to lose jobs in an industry that I already believe is completely falling apart and that won’t even be creating jobs for me in a few years anyway?"
He continued: "Like come on. If I lose all of my acting career, and I hope I don’t, and so far I haven’t… But none of that matters. If the world goes off a cliff, what does it matter?”

The MAGA actor appeared on Kelly’s show to promote his new movie, “The Unbreakable Boy.” He had originally endorsed Robert F. Kennedy but later switched his support to Trump when he emerged as the Republican Party's 2024 nominee.
Levi added in his interview Thursday that “at least” the president is “doing what he said he was going to do.”
“And more than that, these are some of the things I was kind of even secretly hoping he was going to do because, damn it, we do deserve to know what’s going on,” Levi said.
Levi’s public endorsement of Trump came in late September at a Michigan rally. He said in an Instagram video at the time that it was “now or never.”
“My cry to all of you out there, you closeted Trump voters, it’s now or never,” Levi said. “Do whatever you feel like you need to do. If you need to come out publicly and say it, if you feel like you still can’t, then don’t. I would never pressure you to do that.”
