The top craziest things Trump supporters told Daily Show's Jordan Klepper in 2023

"Daily Show" correspondent Jordan Klepper has spent countless hours outside of Donald Trump rallies trying to help understand them better.

In his 2023 wrap-up video, Klepper showed the confusion at the Trump announcement as fans struggled to figure out if it was a rally or another sort of event.

One of the debates he dealt with was the idea that Trump was still somehow president. Two elderly women explained to him that Trump was even still in control of the military. There were two militaries, they explained. One that is good that Trump runs and one that is bad that President Joe Biden runs.

You can tell that Biden isn't the same president because he doesn't have an official seal of the president in front of him. When Klepper said that he does the woman said it was "fake." They were completely serious.

Another man, with several photos of Trump's face making up the shirt he was wearing, explained that the military was actually in charge of the whole country.

When Klepper went to the courthouse to meet Trump supporters there for his arraignment, he had trouble finding them.

One man explained that he could do it all on his own, he didn't need other Trump supporters. A different man in a cowboy hat said that he didn't believe what the media was saying.

"So, what have you seen so far?" asked Klepper.

"Nothing. Almost, absolutely nothing," the man said.

Klepper asked if it was "fair" that Trump was being indicted.

The man explained he didn't know all of the facts. "But what I do know is he's my president."

"Right now?" asked Klepper.

"I think he's my president," the man said.

"You think that he's serving as your president right now?" Klepper asked again.

"Well, in my heart he's my president," the man explained.

Another explained that to him, Donald Trump was the smartest man in the world, despite the fact that he was being fingerprinted in the courthouse at that moment. "I think they fingerprinted him already. They have his DNA..."

"Yeah, that guy leaves his DNA all over the place," said Klepper.

But one of the stand-outs came from the man who mispronounced tyranny who was wearing a "never surrender" t-shirt with Trump's mugshot on it. He was very confused that Trump surrendered to the mugshot.

Then there was the man complaining "you have to work four jobs to pay your rent," but explained he purchased a MAGA hat at least once a month.
