Donald Trump's latest comments represent "an escalation the likes of which we have not really seen," according to the founder and CEO of Independent Veterans of America.
Paul Rieckhoff appeared on MS NOW on Thursday, and the host asked him about a recent video in which Democrats informed military servicemembers of their constitutional duty to disobey any unlawful orders. That video led to Trump suggesting the Dem veterans responsible for the video should be put to death.
After saying he "wascritical of the video because Ifelt like it wasn't clear whatthey wanted to do," Rieckhoff added, "But what Trump has doneis taken it to a whole newlevel."
"I mean, he is amplifyingand just it's bonkers. I mean,to call this sedition, to callfor their death is anescalation, the likes of whichwe have not really seen. Andespecially coming out of a timewhere everybody said, let'stake the tone down after Charlie Kirk," he said. "This is putting abullseye on the backs ofsitting members of congress whoare veterans, who are formerintelligence officials."
The analyst then added, "It isvery, very dangerous," and then said, "It'sall bad. But this is this isradioactive. And this ispotentially inciting violence."
