President Donald Trump has gone from campaigning on building a "big, beautiful, border wall" as a barrier of the United States and Mexico. He prompted supporters to chant that Mexico would pay for the wall but that quickly has evolved.
The president said that the U.S. would pay for it and Mexico would reimburse Americans for the wall. The story changed again when the president said that the new-NAFTA treaty would pay for the wall, so Congress could just write him a check in the new budget.
When Congress said "no" yet again, the president claimed that the wall was actually already being built. That caused problems because Democrats then asked why they should fund something that's already being built.
Now the story has changed again.
"The Democrats, are saying loud and clear that they do not want to build a Concrete Wall - but we are not building a Concrete Wall, we are building artistically designed steel slats, so that you can easily see through it It will be beautiful and, at the same time, give our Country the security that our citizens deserve. It will go up fast and save us BILLIONS of dollars a month once completed!" Trump tweeted.
