Confused Trump presses aides with puzzling question: 'Where are the cameras?'

President Donald Trump asked aides a puzzling question as journalists from three media outlets were turned away in violation of a court order, according to a well-sourced reporter.

MS NOW's Jonathan Lemire told "Morning Joe" that the 80-year-old president seemed confused Thursday that the press pool wasn't on the premises despite ordering crews from MS NOW, CNN and Politico banned from the White House, and two reporters from CNN and another from MS NOW were turned away from the state dinner arrivals despite a judge ordering their reinstatement.

"You know, a coupledays ago when we had said thatbanning media outlets wouldonly hurt the president, I mean,here's a perfect example of it," host Joe Scarborough said. "You had some hero shots that hecould have had coming out ofthe White House – video, greatvideo, you know, yeah, state dinners, red carpet. Yeah, but itjust hasn't happened, and ithasn't happened because, well,he banned the media."

Lemire offered additional insight based on his sources at the White House.

"His impulsive decisiona few days before notconsulting with aides to banthree media outlets," Lemire said, and he agreed with Scarborough's assertion that aides disagreed with that move. "Right, no, because theyunderstand that, first of all,he needs the media like heneeds oxygen, like, so he wouldbe the one to miss it. In fact,even yesterday I am told he wasasking aides, 'Where are thecameras,' because there was nopool camera, and here's why."

"Just to refresh your memory, soyesterday we woke up to thenews that the judge had ruledthat CNN, MS NOW and Politico should have accessrestored to the White House, and it took a few hours forthat to happen," Lemire added.

The White House continued to deny access during the morning and the judge ordered the administration to explain by early afternoon, and Lemire said the Secret Service confiscated their badges Thursday in defiance of the court order, which undercuts claims that it took a few hours to reactivate their badges.

"Whoever gave them thatorder should go to jail," Scarborough said. "I mean,that's contempt of court.There's an order out there. Ireally want to know whathappened yesterday morning, andthis like, I'm not saying thisfor an isolated reason. Therewill there will be a time whenjustice will be done for people in this administration ignoringcourt orders. There will be atime when the masks will betaken off of ICE agents andjustice will be done for everyperson that they beat, forevery person that they jailed,for every person that theystarve, for every person thatthey tortured, that time iscoming."

"So I want to know," Scarborough added. "Iwant somebody to take note inthe White House, who gave those Secret Service agents, who defied acourt order, who gave them thatorder to defy a federal judge?Because when you defy a federaljudge, you're in contempt."
