Donald Trump's serious legal troubles are among several reasons why one former White House reporter says he doesn't think the ex-president will be the Republican party's presidential nominee for 2024.
Brian Karem, who famously asked Trump if he would commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he lost the 2020 election, recently said that Republican leaders in the House are a lot like Hamas.
Now, Karem is predicting Trump's fate, and providing some evidence to back it up.
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
"Donald Trump will not be the Republican candidate for president in 2024," Karem said on Saturday, noting that, since he lost the 2020 race, "his influence at first slowly waned - and the rate is increasing."
Karem continued:
"In NY it's only an argument of how much money he's going to lose. He's been called a rapist and a fraud in civil court. The Kraken and Cheesebro Flip. (sounds like a dessert.) And he failed to get any of his puppets elevated to the Speaker of the House - despite threats, bribes, shouting and potential fisticuffs," he wrote. "He lost the WH. Has no control of the House and is in serious legal trouble. DO THE MATH."
Karem went on to say, "Don't even get me started about his mental and physical health."
"The GOP is going to have to find another candidate for President," he predicted.
