Trump’s new DC hotel gets a $534,000 rent credit from National Park Service for maintaining clock tower

Donald Trump's new hotel project in Washington, D.C. got a huge payday from the National Parks Service, the Washington Post reports.

Trump leases the Old Post Office Pavilion from the federal government, part of a deal inked in 2013. He pays $3 million in base rent for the year and a percentage of profits, but will pay much less because of this deal.

A federal agency has given the Trump Organization a credit for $534,000 because it provides “security, utilities and janitorial services” related to the building’s clock tower.
