Two more women accuse Al Franken of groping while at Democratic Party events during his 2008 campaign

United States Senator Al Franken is facing further accusations of groping women after two additional women came forward and told their stories to the Huffington Post.

The misconduct allegations described by both women allegedly occurred during Franken's successful 2008 campaign, which was the former comedian's first foray into electoral politics.

One woman alleges Franken groped her buttocks while posing for a photo after a June 25, 2007, event hosted by the Minnesota Women’s Political Caucus in Minneapolis.

“My story is eerily similar to Lindsay Menz’s story,” she said. “He grabbed my buttocks during a photo op.”

A second woman says Franken groped her buttocks at a 2008 Democratic Party fundraiser in Minneapolis. Franken allegedly said the two should visit the bathroom together.

Last week, KABC-AM news anchor Leeann Tweeden accused Franken of groping and sexually harassing her during a USO tour in 2006.

Lindsay Menz also came forward to accuse Sen. Franken of groping her buttocks at the Minnesota State Fair in 2010.

“It’s difficult to respond to anonymous accusers, and I don’t remember those campaign events," Franken said in a statement. "I can categorically say that I did not proposition anyone to join me in any bathroom."
