Viral photo of pregnant woman finishing college finals while in labor breaks the internet

A Missouri woman proved her dedication to her studies in a photo that is going viral.

KPTV reported Nayzia Thomas welcomed a healthy baby boy despite her need to finish her final exams at Johnson County Community College.

"My mom took this pic [and] it's the perfect explanation of my life. Yes I'm about to have a baby, but final SZN ain't over yet," she tweeted last week. It has since received more than 130,000 likes and 27,000 retweets.

The new mom is working her way toward a psychology degree, but this summer while she was working three jobs and attending summer classes, she learned she was pregnant. She worked hard to complete her semester, accomplishing the goal with a 3.5 GPA mere hours before giving birth.

“I (thought) before all of this gets crazy, let me hurry up and finish this final,” she told Yahoo Lifestyle in an interview.

The following day she revealed that they had a healthy baby boy, but she "experienced major blood loss" and she went into shock after the delivery. She confessed it was scary but the boy's father was there to take over. "We are blessed! AND I'm finishing the semester w/ a 3.5 GPA!"
