Voting machines are overheating in Florida in the middle of the state's recount: report

Voting machines overheated and stopped working in the midst of the recount in Palm Beach, Florida — forcing staffers to redo a recount of nearly 180,000 ballots.

The Washington Post reported that Palm Beach Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher announced the technical issue Tuesday night.

Earlier in the week, Bucher also flagged technology problems when attempting to explain why the recount in the South Florida county was taking so long.

The report noted that officials have by 3 P.M. EST on Thursday, November 15 to finish their recounts in three statewide races.
