WATCH: Corey Lewandowski tells Fox News audience Trump ended the left's War on Christmas

Corey Lewandowski Tuesday proclaimed the War on Christmas over and conservatives victorious because Donald Trump was elected president.

Discussing Trump’s recent pseudo-victory with Carrier to keep almost 800 jobs in the United States, the former Trump campaign manager told Fox’s Sean Hannity that in the wake of Trump’s electoral victory, he and his fellow Americans can say the word Christmas once again.

“All the extra jobs that go along with that,” Lewandowski said, referring to the Carrier deal. “Which means Merry Christmas, which you can say again because Donald Trump is now the president. You can say it again! It’s okay to say—it’s not a pejorative word anymore.”

Hannity and other Fox News hosts frequently float “the left’s War on Christmas” as a point of contention and rallying cry against “political correctness.” Last August, Trump himself said he goes out of his way “to use the word ‘Christmas’ to stand up for the persecuted Christians in this nation.

“There’s an assault on anything having to do with Christianity,” Trump told Alabama radio host Cliff Sims. “They don’t want to use the word Christmas anymore at department stores.

Trump promise to “assault” the lawsuits deployed against use of the word Christmas.

“I will go so strongly against so many of the things, when they take away the word Christmas,” he vowed.

Trump later led a boycott against Starbucks after the coffee brand revealed its holiday cup sans any religious symbolism. “If I become president, we’re all going to be saying Merry Christmas again, that I can tell you,” Trump told a crowd of supporters. “That I can tell you.”
