Fox News' Shep Smith fact-checked Trump on his border wall address immediately after it aired

Fox News' Shep Smith on Tuesday immediately fact-checked President Donald Trump after he gave an Oval Office address to pitch his border wall directly to the American people.

The Daily Beast reported that after the speech, Smith countered numerous Trump claims that were false or misleading.

"Statistics show that there is less violent crime by the undocumented immigrant population than by the general population," the host said, responding to the president's list of crimes done by undocumented immigrants to make his case for the wall.
