WATCH LIVE: Hurricane Irma hits North Florida, Georgia and South Carolina

No one anticipated Hurricane Irma would take the path that it did. Prediction models had the storm staying off the west coast of Florida in the Gulf of Mexico as a low pressure system hovered off the east coast. That has changed and Irma's wrath made a turn across the Florida peninsula

The storm began the morning over Jacksonville, Florida and the coasts of Georgia and South Carolina and it continues to move north up the east coast. So far, over 5.5 million Americans are without power.
