WATCH: MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace drops the mic with brutal epitaph for career of outgoing Scott Pruitt

After the news broke that Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt had resigned, MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace issued her own epic epitaph for the embattled cabinet member.

"He's not getting pushed out because he's corrupt. He's not getting pushed out because there were 13 -- he's not getting pushed out because he was weird enough to wear tactical pants in a phone booth," Wallace began. "He's getting pushed out because he was getting bad PR for Donald Trump."

She then displayed the laundry list of investigations facing Pruitt, some of which he will still face despite being out of office.

"So, he ordered raises for two aides despite the White House rejecting the request," Wallace began. "He spent $3 million of taxpayer funds on a security detail. Biometric locks were installed in his office door. I don't know what that means. Came under fire for renting the bedroom we mentioned. How do you spend $43,000 on a private phone booth? I see the ones at the airport, little jabber box. They couldn't -- SNL couldn't makeup a skit up."

MoveOn.org spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre couldn't help but wonder how it took this long to happen.

"I know we're talking about we found the floor, but in any regular administration, whether it's a Republican or Democratic presidential administration, he would have been gone a long time ago," she said. "What I do want to say, he is the swamp, but the cabinet itself of the Trump administration is problematic."

She named off Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, just to name a few people facing high-profile scandals.
