MSNBC's Rachel Maddow got roped into a ragegasm thanks to a Wednesday night report on President Donald Trump's attorney Marc Kasowitz. On Thursday, Maddow followed up on the series of emails exchanged between Kasowitz and a random individual who emailed Kasowitz telling the head lawyer to resign from Trump's legal team.
“Call me. Don’t be afraid, you piece of sh*t. Stand up. If you don’t call, you’re just afraid,” Kasowitz wrote to the man. Later he replied again, “I already know where you live, I’m on you. You might as well call me. You will see me. I promise. Bro.”
Flying off the handle in writing isn't the only thing Kasowitz has done. Maddow called out his first act as an attorney representing the president of the United States was to misspell the word "president" in a press release that was otherwise littered with typos.
If that isn't bad enough, Kasowitz knew about the email exchange that proves a willingness to collude with Russia prior to the meeting Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort met with a Russian attorney. According to a recent report, Kasowitz was told at the end of June about the email, which was omitted by Kushner's clearance form. It's unclear if President Trump knew and is playing dumb about his denials or if Kasowitz failed to tell Trump about his son's email exchange and the subsequent meeting.
"How do even you find people like this, let alone a whole stable of them?" Maddow asked. "This is like you went shopping for all your lawyers at the 'before' section of the anger management commercial."
She went on to argue that regardless of the side of the political aisle, all Americans should want the president of the United States well represented by a competent attorney who can ensure a fair legal defense.
