WATCH: Trump adviser says lining cabinet with Goldman Sachs bankers will heal America's wounds

During the presidential campaign, President-elect Donald Trump regularly railed against Goldman Sachs, the powerful Wall Street firm that has delivered a steady stream of executives to serve as government officials in the White House.

Now that Trump has won the presidency, however, he's appointed three current or former Goldman bankers to his cabinet.

Trump transition adviser Anthony Scaramucci was asked by CNN to comment on the disconnect between Trump's campaign rhetoric on Goldman and his willingness to embrace the firm to be part of his administration -- and he said that inviting the Goldman crew aboard the Trump Train was his way of helping heal America's wounds.

"I think the cabal against the bankers is over," Scaramucci said. "And I think what Mr. Trump is really trying to do right now is put the country together. We've had a rough campaign, as the president-elect has said, but he has said most graciously in his speech, and you can see it in his actions in terms of his outreach to so many different people, we really want to bring the country together."
