WATCH: Trump attorney asked to respond to People accuser -- and kept confusing her with other victims

Longtime Trump attorney Michael Cohen was dispatched to CNN on Tuesday afternoon to  to talk about voter fraud only to be asked about the bombshell by People magazine reporting that writer Natasha Stoynoff has six witnesses backing up her account that Trump sexually assaulted her.

According to Stoyonoff's account, she was set to interview Trump at his Florida Mar-a-Lago estate, when the businessman, “shut the door behind us. I turned around, and within seconds he was pushing me against the wall and forcing his tongue down my throat.”

Asked by host Wolf Blitzer to respond to Tuesday's revelation, Cohen attempted to dance around the subject of corroborating witnesses only to continually confuse Stoynoff's account of the assault with accounts made by other women who also have accused Trump of sexual improprieties.

"Those are all statements that she has made to other people," Cohen replied. "I don't believe that any of these people were there with them at Mar-a-Lago. what I can you is that the accuser -- and I would never want to turn around and tell an accuser that, you know, the story that you're relaying is a lie. I am not going to be one of those people that attack and accuse somebody who has been attacked. It's not who I am."

"I will say, for example, the woman that was on the airplane in first class, I think most people who heard the story are somewhat, you know, confused as to her accounting of the story, that she sits down next to a stranger, and for 15 minutes, he is all over her," he said -- now speaking about Jessica Leeds who claims Trump groped her on a flight 35 years ago.

Continuing on, Cohen asserted that Trump is never alone, making sexual assaults unlikely.

"You now this very very well," Cohen said. "Mr. Trump is never alone. Especially not at Mar-a-Lago where there is always an employee or security around him. It's very hard to imagine that he was by himself, sitting by a bar, because Mr. Trump doesn't drink alcohol --"

"No. That was a nightclub in New York," Blitzer cut in, reminding Trump's attorney he was bringing up a different claim made by photographer and former model Kristin Anderson -- and not the assault at Trump's resort on Stoyonoff.
