WATCH: Trump boasts to evangelicals that his new judges will treat them 'very, very fairly'

President Donald Trump this week boasted to a room full of evangelical Christians that the new judges to whom he was appointing to lifetime positions would start handing down rulings in their favor in the near future.

Patheos reports that Trump on Wednesday night told attendees at the National Day of Prayer dinner that the judges he's been appointing would change the American legal landscape to ensure that they are "treated very, very fairly."

"I’m thrilled to report that, tomorrow, the Senate will confirm the 100th federal judge to the court system. Under my administration, we’re getting to a level where we’re gonna be breaking records with respect to the judiciary, which means a lot to the people in this room because you were treated very poorly," Trump said. "And now, with time, you’ll see what happens."

Although judges are supposed to be impartial arbiters of the law, Trump nonetheless predicted that his appointees would make rulings that would make conservative evangelicals very happy.

"So I think it’s something that was long overdue and I think we’re gonna be treated very, very fairly," he said. "Very important."
