WATCH: Trump flees after reporter asks if Michael Cohen is telling the truth about Don Jr meeting

President Donald Trump on Friday delivered a speech in which he touted progress being made in the American economy -- but he still couldn't escape the recent bombshell reports surrounding his one-time "fixer," Michael Cohen.

As Trump and his economic advisers ended their hastily arranged press event on Friday, reporter Kristen Welker repeatedly shouted at the president, "Is Michael Cohen telling the truth?"

On Thursday night, CNN reported that Cohen was prepared to tell special counsel Robert Mueller that Trump had full knowledge of his son's infamous 2016 meeting with Russian agents at Trump Tower.

Trump issued a blanket denial of that accusation on Twitter Friday and suggested that Bill and Hillary Clinton had gotten Cohen to flip as revenge for losing the 2016 presidential election.

Even though Welker tried her best to get the president to address these latest Cohen revelations, he simply walked away back into the White House.
