WATCH: Trump refuses to shut down Islamophobic fan claiming Obama is not American

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was seemingly content to let a supporter spout Islamophobic remarks -- including a dig at President Barack Obama -- during a campaign event on Thursday in Rochester, New Hampshire.

The unidentified man opened the question-and-answer period of the event by telling Trump, "We have a problem in this country called Muslims. We know our current president is one. You know he's not even an American."

Instead of pointing out that the various "birther" conspiracy theories regarding the president have been debunked, Trump -- who demanded to see Obama's birth certificate in October 2012 -- said, "right," before motioning toward the crowd and asking, "We need this question?"

The man continued speaking, saying, "We have training camps growing where they want to kill us. That’s my question: When can we get rid of them?

"We're going to be looking at a lot of different things," Trump said. "And you know, a lot of people are saying that and a lot of people are saying that bad things are happening, and we're going to be looking at that and plenty of other things."

The Guardian reported this past June that, despite offering Obama $5 million to release his birth certificate, Trump's campaign refused to do the same when asked to do so in 2012.
