WATCH: White woman calls cops on 8-year-old black girl ‘illegally’ selling water in front of her own home

A white woman was caught on tape calling police on a young girl selling water in front of her home in San Francisco as the city experiences a heat wave.

In video posted to Instagram, the camerawoman narrates as the tape captures a woman calling police on an elementary-school-aged child.

"This woman don't want to let a little girl sell some water," the narrator says. "She calling police on an 8-year-old little girl."

As the camera approached, the white woman speaking on the phone ducked behind a concrete retaining wall.

"You can hide all you want, but the whole world gonna see you, boo," the narrator continues.

The white woman then stands up, and smirks directly into the camera as she can be heard saying into the phone, "yeah, and um, illegally selling water with a permit."

In the Instagram post accompanying the video, user ladyesowavy noted, "an 8-year-old selling water in front of her apartment building where she's lived her whole life is NOT a reason to call the police."
