‘We are the elite’: Trump claims his supporters are ‘smarter’ than all of his critics

On Thursday, President Donald Trump ranted about how "elite" his base his during a rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
This is Trump's first campaign rally since Attorney General Bill Barr released his findings of special counsel Robert Mueller's report.
"The single greatest political hoax in the history of our and guess what? We won. It's a beautiful thing. It's a beautiful thing. We love to win," Trump said.
He then ranted about how his base is more elite than other Americans.
"Remember this about yourself. I have a better education than them. I am smarter than them. I went to the best schools, they didn't. Much more beautiful house. Much more beautiful apartment. Much more beautiful everything. And I am the president and they are not. And then they say, 'the elite, the elite.' They are not elite. You are elite. We are the elite."
He added, "You are smarter. You are sharper and more loyal, and a h*ll of a lot tougher."
