'We're talking about our lives here': BLM activists in LA release response to NRA video that 'incites violence'

In response to the and spokeswoman Dana Loesch's "call to action," members of Black Lives Matter Los Angeles have released their own video parodying their "fearmongering" tone.

In their response, BLM LA member Funmilola Fagbamila accused the NRA of "inciting violence against people who are constitutionally fighting for their lives" when they encouraged members to take up arms to protect themselves from left-leaning groups.

"We don’t take that lightly," Fagbamila said.

"They use their new president to enact a ‘law-and-order administration, all to make them shoot first, to make them ask questions later, make them scream, ‘I thought he had a gun in his hand’ and ‘I feared for my life’ and ‘he matched the description of a suspect’ and ‘she was threatening us’ — until the only option left is for black people to disrupt the systems that keep us oppressed and build the kinds of communities in which we want to live," Fagbamila said as music mocking the tone of Loesch's NRA video plays.

Towards the end of the video, captions introducing the people behind Fagbamila reveal them to be family members of people shot and killed by police, mostly in the LA area.
