White House spokesman Raj Shah won't deny Kelly knew about wife beating: 'I'm not getting into specifics'

White House Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah on Thursday refused to say whether Chief of Staff John Kelly knew that White House aide Rob Porter had been accused of abusing two of his wives.

During Thursday's White House press briefing, insisted that Kelly only became "fully aware" of the allegations on Wednesday. He also said that the White House learned of the allegations through media reports.

"Did he know any of this back in November?" Fox News correspondent John Roberts asked.

"I'm not going to get into specifics," Shah insisted.
