'We're white men -- we did everything!' Video captures white Columbia student going on racist rant

A white Columbia University student was caught on camera over the weekend harassing students of color and telling them that they should be grateful for white men.

The student, whom the Columbia Spectator has identified as sophomore Julian von Abele can be seen yelling at a group of primarily black students that they should thank white people for inventing "the modern world."

"We invented science and industry, and you want to tell us to stop because, 'Oh my God, we're so bad!'" he shouted. "We saved billions of people from starvation, we built modern civilization! White people are the best thing that ever happened to the world!"

At this point, the group of students around him starts shouting incredulously at his boasts.

The white student, however, only gets more emboldened by their protests.

"F*ck yeah, white men!" he yells. "We're white men -- we did everything!"

Von Abele so far has been avoiding the Columbia Spectator's requests for comments.
