A popular Elk Grove, California hair salon is vowing to stand its ground after being targeted with a racist note telling it to "get out" of the city.
CBS Sacramento reports that someone left a note at the Dream Girls Fine Hair Imports that used racist language to attack its owner and its employees.
"You f*cking blacks cause too much damage," the note read. "Your (sic) a f*cking eyesore to this town! Get out soon."
Owner Sharie Thompson, however, vowed to stay in the area, despite being on receiving ends of several other racist threats in the past.
"We’re staying, and my business is staying here, and we’re going to fight, and we are not going to tolerate the hate now, we are not going to tolerate people coming to my door and opening it up," she said. "That’s why I have a lock here now, to keep them out. I just want to make sure Elk Grove stands with me."
Police are investigating the note as a hate crime.
