'You need a bullet in the head': Racists threaten black Mississippi judge for removing courtroom flag

A black municipal judge in Clarksdale, MS has received a slew of threats after he removed the Mississippi state flag from his courtroom because its design includes the controversial Confederate flag.

News Channel 3 reported on police documents that show Judge Carlos Moore has received death threats after his decision in July to no longer display the Mississippi state flag during proceedings in his courtroom.

"Your [sic] not untouchable you can't hide behind the court system or closed doors if I were you I would start checking my surroundings," said one post.

Another called Moore "a piece of sh*t" and said, "I guess you need a bullet in the head."

To which another poster answered, "Terminate him."

Police have taken out warrants on two men -- Paul Millwood and Jeff Porch -- they believe are associated with the threats.

"We're working with the social media site to try to determine where their location may be," said Assistant Clarksdale Police Chief Robbie Linley to Channel 3.

The men are wanted on charges of cyberstalking, email threats and harassment. It's not currently known whether they are connected to any organized hate group.

"We take any threat against any of our sitting judges. Whether they are in our jurisdiction, whether they are a county judge, a city judge, a circuit judge...we take those very serious. And we're going to do everything we can to prosecute anyone that makes any physical threats against those individuals," said Linley.
